About Account Keepers

Why Account Keepers

My path to Account Keepers wasn't entirely traditional.

I spent more than ten years working in corporate accounts receivable and accounts payable before stepping away from the traditional workforce while raising my daughter. Years later, when it was time to decide what I wanted to do next, I realized how much I missed accounting—and how much I wanted to return to work that challenged me and put those skills to use.

So I went back to college.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Accounting and began thinking seriously about something I'd considered for years: building a business of my own. I then went on to become a QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor and continued my training with a QuickBooks Payroll certification.

Account Keepers grew from that combination of experience, education, and a preference for the practical side of accounting. I enjoy the work that keeps a business's financial records organized and useful—the day-to-day details that need to be handled accurately so business owners can see where things stand and move forward with confidence, without having to become bookkeepers themselves.

Why Bookkeeping

Accounting covers a wide range of work, but I've always been drawn to the practical side of it—the work that keeps a business organized from day to day. I like finding what doesn't match, solving problems, bringing records up to date, and turning a pile of financial activity into information that actually makes sense.

That's why bookkeeping was a natural fit for Account Keepers. It lets me use my accounting background in a practical way while working directly with small business owners and the businesses they've built.

My Approach

I believe good bookkeeping involves more than entering transactions and producing reports. It requires attention to detail, communication, and a willingness to ask questions when something doesn't make sense.

I won't assume I know your business better than you do. I'll ask questions when I need clarification, explain what I'm seeing in plain English, and make sure you understand what's happening with your books.

Most importantly, I understand the trust involved in allowing someone access to your business's financial information. I'll respect that responsibility, handle your information with care and discretion, and provide honest, dependable support. My goal is to keep your books accurate and organized without making bookkeeping more complicated than it needs to be.
